How much not to suffer, going on a proper diet.
I have always loved sweets, especially chocolate and boiled condensed milk, so when you go on a healthy diet, they do not include, your life without them in principle is not represented.
However now, after almost 6 years, I am quite myself even feel bad, still like sweets, but chocolate and condensed milk have not among my favorites.
Don’t want to write a lot about the dangers of factory of sweets, as they say “chocolate chocolate is not found” or “jelly candy gelatin is not detected”. Just tell me about alternatives that save my family, when very much like sweet, but poison your body and your child’s chemistry there is no desire.
Instead of sugar
From tea with sugar to drop for me was easy, but my favorite drink of cocoa is always something I wanted to sweeten. The first thing that came to mind was honey – a storehouse of useful vitamins and minerals. Indeed, this bee product is able to strengthen the immune system, raise vitality, is a popular antibacterial and antiviral agent.
It contains folic acid, vitamins B2 and B6, iodine, iron, potassium, phosphorus, magnesium. But here’s the problem: under high temperatures (above 40 degrees Celsius) not just the honey loses its beneficial properties, but can even cause harm to the human body, turning its own healing substances in toxins.
So for a while I drank cocoa and sometimes tea just a bit of sugar with honey until, lo and behold!, I discovered the syrup from Jerusalem artichoke. Sounds of course so that the tongue will break, and this looks like a tuber bizarre to put it mildly strange.
But the syrup from it, which only Jerusalem artichoke and water, incredible useful and very important: never loses its healing power when exposed to high temperatures.
Artichoke contains vitamins a, B1, B2, B6, C and E, trace elements: silicon, potassium, phosphorus, iron, zinc, various amino acids. Reduces bad cholesterol, normalizes blood pressure, regulates the digestive tract, boosts immunity and vitality. Indispensable for diabetics.
Instead of candy
At first I sculpted candy from a mixture of dried fruits and nuts with honey, sometimes enveloping them in carob (carob powder, a healthy alternative to cocoa), poppy seeds or coconut. But thank God the number of lucid in our country adherents of a healthy way of life grows.
Over time more and more people who are doing not only for themselves but also for sale candies of dried fruits and nuts, as well as using sprouted grains buckwheat, flax, hemp, etc. the Cost of such useful alternatives is of course much higher store of sweets, and the shelf life is shorter, but trust me it’s worth it.
So, the benefits of sprouted seeds, sweets on the basis of which – my latest discovery, I can write long and tedious, because I’m sometimes in the mood germinated green buckwheat, wheat, sunflower, rye. But to be brief: the seedlings require less energy for their digestion they on the other hand this energy the body give. Sprouts enhance immunity, improve functioning of the digestive tract, remove toxins from the body.
Sprouts is a great source of easily digestible protein, they are rich in vitamins (many vitamins, for example C and b, germinated seeds increased 5 times, vitamin E – 3 times), trace elements, antioxidants, enzymes.
Instead of harmful snacks
And now briefly about healthy snacking. Jerusalem artichoke syrup in a working bag, not poured, and sweet balls can stick together, so personally I as a light snack I love to take fruit or vegetable chips, candied fruit or rolls. The shelf life reaches six months and does not require special maintenance of temperature. Well, the benefit is 100% natural. Because is made eco-friendly way, they retain all the vitamins, minerals and other nutrients in fruits and vegetables are so essential to us especially in the cold season.
And what about condensed milk?
An alternative to boiled condensed milk I, unfortunately, did not find, but you know with such a variety of healthy sweets craving for it held in itself.
