Scientists have named the main cause of hypertension.
Persistent increase in blood pressure, otherwise hypertension has various causes, however, recently Russian scientists were able to find the main factors of the appearance of the disease.
The results of the study were published in the journal Experimental Physiology, briefly about it it is told on the website of the Institute of Cytology and genetics, Siberian branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
Scientists believe that one of the most obvious possible causes lies in changes of neural activity and blood flow in the brain, which occur at an early age.
This conclusion experts made during the study, which compared two groups of rats. The first group of experimental laboratory rodents had normal blood pressure, but the second group had an anomalous pressure, which was developed in the period from four to six weeks from birth, but later this condition was typical for rats.
Thus, in rodents in the second group, the researchers observed changes in indicators of blood flow in certain arteries. Also changes in brain activity, in particular, the reduction in the prefrontal cortex and increase in the area of the hypothalamus. It was not in laboratory rodents.
From 90-95 percent of people high blood pressure is not clearly observable reasons. Meanwhile, hypertension is one of the risk factors for diseases of the brain, kidneys, heart, eyes and other organs.
It is noted that the scientific work of the Russian scientists can help in the prevention of these diseases.
