The monument of architecture of the Chervonohorod castle Ternopil eparchy of the UAOC handed, OOO for ₴382,5 thousand
Archbishop Mstyslav, who was the head of Ternopil and Khmelnytskyi eparchy of the Ukrainian Autocephalous Orthodox Church (UAOC) and became known after the scandalous fun with girls and alcohol at a local café, is now accused of illegal sale of monastery for 382 thousand hryvnias.
This TSN.ia informed the head of Fund of memory of his Beatitude, Metropolitan Mefodiy Natalia Shevchuk, who was for many years assistant to the late Primate of the UAOC Metropolitan Mefodiy.
The documents referred to Chervonogorodsky Palace or castle, a monument of architecture of XVII-XIX centuries, located in the tract near the village of red Nyrkiv zalishchyky district, Ternopil region.
The ruins of the Palace were transferred to the Primate of the UAOC Methodius in the times of Leonid Kuchma’s presidency for the deployment of the monastery of the Holy apostles Peter and Paul. According to the certificate of ownership dated January 22, 2002, the ruins of the Palace belonged to Ternopol-Podilskyi eparchy of the UAOC.
Changes began after the death of Metropolitan Methodius in 2015, when the head of the UAOC he was elected Metropolitan Macarius (Maletić), and the head of the Ternopil diocese appointed the above mentioned Bishop Mstyslav (Guk).
In June 2016 Nerkowski SEL in response to the request of Mstislav decided on the ruins of the Palace, where, in particular, talked about the division of structures within the monument on three different addresses: the ruins of the Palace, the Church and the unfinished dam.
After a few months, August 28, 2016, the head of the Ukrainian Autocephalous Orthodox Church, Makarios gave his consent to the participation of religious organizations “Ternopil eparchy of the UAOC” as co-founder of limited liability company “Joinforces”.
Makarios also agreed to further transfer the property of the Palace – as a contribution to the authorized capital of the company. According to the assessment, the property was worth 382 578 thousand UAH.
About a month later, Archbishop Mstyslav has given appropriate consent for the same operation, and on the 28th September 2016, OOO “Joinforces” was established and the monastery was transferred to its property. The second co-founder and Director was Olga Kusen – local businesswoman, told TSN.ia the Mstislav.

This story received publicity in the press in mid-October, when the controversial video came to the correspondent of the program “TSN.Tyzhden” Sergey Galchenko. Then the Hierarch Macarius had to collect the Council of bishops who decided to send Mstislav to the monastery to repent.
As it turned out, Mstislav in the monastery did not go and stayed home – with a married woman (Mstislav later explained that it was allegedly a nurse who came to do the injections).
And it was at this time when Mstislav was supposed to be in the monastery, he as a representative of the Ternopil diocese signed another important document regarding the Palace. The minutes of the meeting of OOO “Joinforces” of 31 October States, in particular, the release of the Ternopil diocese of membership of the society, as well as the granting of authority to the Director of the company Olga Kusen regarding the transfer of the Palace in the property of the company and for the payment of the Ternopil diocese of its share capital, that is, those 382 578 thousand UAH – the market value of the Palace.
Mstislav, who a few months after the scandal was again restored to service, at first refused to provide a comment regarding the matter, assuring that all documents are unreliable. However, later acknowledged that was indeed the founder of “Joinforces,” which was formed with the aim of transferring the architectural monument the Palace is in private owned by a local entrepreneur Olga Kusen.
According to him, received from Kusan the money was supposed to go to the reconstruction of the Church. However, where in the end happened to the money itself, Mstislav could not explain.
In turn, the head of the UAOC Metropolitan Macarius refused to comment on the case.
The head of Fund of memory of his Beatitude, Metropolitan Mefodiy Natalia Shevchuk gave all the documents to the Department of religion of the Ministry of culture. The head of Department Andrey yurash confirmed receipt of the documents, but noted that the financial business deals with the management of the historical heritage of the Ministry of culture. Therefore, the Ministry expects only the corresponding statements of the Fund and promise to deal with the matter at the Ministerial level.
