One of the key differences between the gaming consoles of Sony and Microsoft is upgrading the storage.
Microsoft has provided support for external hard drives for the Xbox One, whereas Sony gives PlayStation 4 owners the opportunity to open the case and replace the internal hard drive.
While support external hard drives on the PlayStation 4 is still missing, but now this bug has been fixed.

Once connected, the console will automatically recognize the new drive and will allow you to save files and applications. In the settings menu, you can manage storage and choose where data will be stored on an external drive, internal or on the Internet.
Other innovations update 4.50 is the appearance of custom Wallpaper, now they can be screenshots of your favorite games and other images. The changes in the quick menu simplified notification list, where now there are no multiple tabs, there is support for the playback of 3D Blu-ray on the PlayStation VR and the ability to write directly in the activity feed.
While the 4.50 update is only available to participants of the beta program Sony. Date of release of the final version of the update is not reported.
