Paleontologists have discovered fossils of the fearsome dinosaur in Mongolia.
Fragments of fossils truly great of a pterosaur was discovered in the Gobi desert in Mongolia. This formidable predator may have had a wingspan of over 10 meters, which is close to the size of a small plane.
The giant lived 70 million years ago in warm and humid environment of the late Cretaceous. The earth was full of dinosaurs, because a flying predator could prey on their young.
The flying lizards are still not identified, but based on the size of the fragments of the cervical vertebrae, it may be one of the largest pterosaur that ever lived on Earth.
Paleontologists have unearthed a fossil in formation, Imaget. This geological formation age ≈71 million years consists of sandy fluvial deposits. It contains the remains of fish, turtles, birds and a variety of dinosaurs, but pterosaurs still not dug out. Findings indicate how common these birds were in the last period of the Mesozoic era.
