The entry into force of visa-free regime between Ukraine and the European Union is a historic event for our state, which will strengthen European integration aspirations of Ukrainians, will strengthen the elected government’s foreign policy and will serve as another proof of the fact that we are able to change the country and bring it closer to European and civilized standards.

The conviction of Ward, the completion of the process of liberalization of the visa regime with EU countries is the common merit of the President, the government and the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. “Within a few years of reforming in this direction, we have made significant progress – introduced e-Declaration and biometric passports, have substantially improved the state migration policy, ratified a number of important UN conventions and Council of Europe. The “road map” for visa-free regime, which served as a plan of action for Ukraine, implemented by 100% and the European Union, on the one hand, fulfilled its obligations, on the other – recognized the right of Ukrainians to enjoy the benefits of the civilized world. This would not have happened without the extraordinary diplomatic efforts of President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko, reform proposals of the Cabinet of Ministers and votes of MPs. It is the result of joint work”, – he said.
Ward also noted another “victory” of Ukraine in the international arena – the final ratification of the Association Agreement with the EU, which opens up even greater opportunities for our state. “Now our main task is to complete the implementation of the provisions of the Agreement, especially in the economic sphere, which will give an increase in financial well-being of Ukrainian citizens and the opportunity to fully enjoy the benefits of a visa-free regime and travel to Europe”, – said the MP.
