In Ukraine, the convicts were forbidden to visit the prison social networking and porn sites. New organization of providing prisoners access to the global Internet, was approved by the Ministry of justice on October 19.

The convicts can create an email and use it under the control of the administration of the institution. The administration may view the content of incoming and outgoing messages.

Also, prisoners are not permitted to visit social networking sites, sites that promote violence, of erotic or pornographic content, browse sites, which can have a negative impact on the mental state of the convicted person, as well as to visit sites that are not included in the allowed list.
In particular, offenders have the right to access official sites of bodies of state power, bodies of state power, sites of registered media, international organizations, educational, cultural, sports, artistic, reference and legal sites, and sites of political, social and religious organizations.
