The national Council has banned a Russian TV channel about fishing.
The national Council of Ukraine on television and radio broadcasting banned the broadcast of Russian TV channel “Hunter and Fisher HD”.
This is stated in the press service of the national Council.
“By results of monitoring of TV channel” Hunter and Fisher HD “having jurisdiction of the Russian Federation, the regulator 23 Feb decided to exclude him from the List of foreign programmes, the content of which meets the requirements of the European Convention on transfrontier television and laws of Ukraine”, – stated in the message.
It is noted that on 11 and 12 February, the TV channel broadcasted the program “on the hook” with the participation of the Hero of Russia, a Russian officer, a Colonel of the GRU of the General staff of the armed forces of the Russian Federation Yevgeny Konopelkina. The program details were given about the heroic service of the battalion commander of Russian special forces GRU, Russia in Chechnya, his desire since childhood to serve in the special forces, described the combat situation in g. Grozny (Chechnya), who participated in which E. Konopelky received the star of Hero of Russia, creates for the audience a positive image of a Russian officer who defends his country from insurgents and he was very proud of the Russian army.
The Council noted that the location of the broadcast of such information indicates the presence of violations of the requirements of article 6 of the Law of Ukraine “About television and broadcasting” according to which not allowed to use radio and television to broadcast television programs produced after August 1, 1991 containing promotion or propaganda organs of the aggressor state and their individual actions, justifying recognize lawful occupation of the territory of Ukraine.
It is noted that the decision of the National Council shall enter into force one month after its publication.
