Anthracite station started to work for the passage of the summer peak electricity consumption.
Monday, July 17, DTEK launched the Dnieper and Krivorozhsky thermal power plant in Dnipropetrovsk region to attend the summer peak of electricity consumption. This reports the press service of the holding.
“Power units No. 9 150 MW Pridneprovskaya TPP and №5 with capacity of 300 MW Krivorozhskaya TPP, team defense, working in the power system of Ukraine and compensate for released repair units of nuclear power plants. Thus, thermal power station balance the needs of industrial region of Ukraine in power”, – stated in the message.
In the DTK recalled that both TES was forced to shut down in April for the accumulation of scarce anthracite.
“In may 2017 DTEK received the first batch of fuel from South Africa – 75 thousand tonnes of anthracite coal for its thermal power plants. The supply of coal on the station continues today. Currently in the warehouses of both stations accumulated more than 200 thousand tons of anthracite. This amount is enough for six weeks of work both stations with a minimal crew – one unit”, – noted in the holding.
