On Saturday evening, August 12, Khmelnytskyi occurred dorozhno-transport incident to participation of three cars, which resulted in the injuries of varying severity were got by eight people.
About it informs the press service of the Main Directorate of the National police in the Khmelnytsky oblast.
It is reported that the culprit was made by 37-year-old driver of a Volkswagen Passat. It left on “oncoming traffic line” in the face of a BMW car and a taxi Renault Laguna. According to preliminary data, the driver of the vehicle was intoxicated.
The accident with injuries of varying severity were hospitalized eight people, four of them children. They were taken to the intensive care unit
“Three 4-year-old girls was diagnosed with polytrauma, injuries, one of them – closed cherepno-a brain trauma and hip fracture. 6-year-old boy – polytrauma and lateral skull fracture,” – said the press service.
Two adults who were with children, are also hospitalized to the regional hospital. The 36-year-old man was diagnosed with contusions, closed cherepno-a brain trauma and nose fracture. His 34-year-old wife – traumatic pneumothorax and contusions.
In addition, seriously injured 21-year-old driver of the Renault Laguna, taken to intensive care in serious condition with polytrauma and fracture of the left leg.
The culprit was also hospitalized. He was diagnosed with closed craniocerebral injury, fracture of the patella of the right leg and bruised chest.
“On this fact opened criminal proceedings under part 1 article 286 “violation of the rules of traffic safety or transport operation by persons driving vehicles” of the Criminal code of Ukraine which sanction prescribes the maximum punishment in the form of restriction of liberty for a term up to 3 years. The investigators find out all circumstances of incident”, – have informed in a press-service.
