“Sberbank” intends to introduce the payment technology in stores with the use of biometrics — a fingerprint or face image. As reported by “Vedomosti”, the Bank described in detail in the updated from June 20, the settlement terms with trade outlets, as the buyer can pay, where biometric terminals are installed, no map.
First you need to register — right in the store, where there is appropriate equipment. It can make the holder of the card of Sberbank, previously gave his consent to the processing of biometric data.
To register, simply insert the card into the card reader bioterminal, create a password for later confirmation of transactions and provide a biometric sample — bioterminal scans your fingerprint or reads the face image (the second option available to those who have previously passed the Department of “Sberbank” sample faces), said the conditions. You can then pay by card, or through biometric identification.
A biometric sample can only attach one map of said environment. But to return the product only in biometrics will not work — it will have to present the card.
This year, Sberbank announced a tender for procurement of biometric terminals with cameras and reading a fingerprint. The Bank also ordered a revision of software for cashless payments with the use of biometrics, from the data of the procurement site and “Sberbank-AST”. The representative of Sberbank declined to comment.
