Ukraine’s President ready for direct dialogue with Putin.
The President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko for the sake of the Ukrainians are ready for direct dialogue with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
This was stated by Deputy head of the presidential administration of Ukraine Konstantin Eliseev.
“For the sake of the Ukrainian President is ready to even go on a direct dialogue with Putin, if he will bring results. Now we continue to raise the issue of releasing Ukrainian hostages from the Donbas and the political prisoners who are on the territory of Russia, but so far there is no progress,” said Elisha.
According to him, information on secret of telephone negotiations of Poroshenko and Putin as stated by Russian media – “an example of a hybrid propaganda campaign from the Russian side”.
“The President actively communicates in the Normandy format and in April in this format held a conference call. As for his previous contacts with Putin, they related to a single issue – the release of hostages”, – said the Deputy head of AP.
Eliseev believes that the conflict in the Donbas you can quickly decide, however, subject to several conditions.
“The situation in the Donbass can be resolved very quickly and effectively in the political-diplomatic way. But this requires a number of conditions, one of which is hard and clear messages from our key partners, what are we waiting and what are you working on”, he added.
