The policing will involve servicemen of the national guard and representatives of public organizations.
The police will strengthen security measures during the March of Equality “Kievprayd -2017” which will be held in Kyiv on June 18.
According to preliminary information, this year the event will be attended by five thousand people. This is two times more than in the past.
“Metropolitan police to reinforce security measures. In particular, law enforcement will be involved soldiers of the National guard of Ukraine, representatives of public organizations”, – told the police.
The head of the Kiev police Andrey Krishchenko noted that the police “are ready to communicate, as with the organizers and opponents of the March.” He promised that any provocations will be prevented.
To the area where the event will take place, the police will restrict access. Will also be installed metal detectors.
“To prevent possible terrorist acts and the prevention of crimes, to the area where it will March, we will limit access. However, we will install a sufficient number of checkpoints with a metal frame, to make free passage to the representatives of media, diplomatic missions and public organizations”, – said Krishchenko.
