A few days ago Microsoft upset the fans, having decided once again to move the premiere action Crackdown 3, which at first was supposed to accompany the release of Xbox One X in November, in the spring of 2018. However, in reality this is not what sorry, the General Manager of Microsoft Studios Publishing Shannon Loftis (Loftis Shannon).
As the lady told in an interview with Polygon, worst of all, the company took what and announced a Crackdown 3 at E3 already in 2014-m year, i.e. four years before the actual (I would like to believe) release.
The problem is that Crackdown 3 includes three different game modes, over each of which employs a separate Studio (Reagent Games, Sumo Digital and Cloudgine). And looking at what they do, the publisher realized that the bar definitely needs to raise higher. Accordingly, again it is better to delay release than to release a shoddy product.
Meanwhile, Loftis acknowledges that by announcing the game so early, Microsoft, unfortunately, underestimated the complexity of the forthcoming work, as a result are now paying the price of listening to the discontent of the fans. But there is a bright side — from now on, the publisher will learn from their mistakes and try not to announce projects ahead of time.
