The group had less deputies than we need for existence.
MPs Serhiy Melnychuk and Oleksandr Onishchenko on Friday, 9 June, left the parliamentary group “people’s Will”.
The relevant statements were read at the meeting of the Parliament speaker Andriy Parubiy.
In the “will of the people” there are only 17 deputies.
According to regulations, the number of people in the parliamentary group cannot be less than the number of individuals in the smallest faction formed during the 1st session. This faction was IN the “Fatherland”, consisting of 19 people.
Thus, if in the near future “will of the people” will also have two deputies, it will be subject to dissolution.
“The will of the people” on the verge of dissolution for a long time. The first time it was saved in the spring of 2015 Sergey Melnichuk, expelled from the faction of the Radical party; the second, Alexander Feldman in November 2016; the third – Sergey Shakhov in February 2017.
We will remind that Sergey Melnichuk wrote a statement of withdrawal from the group “will of the people” in December of 2016.
This decision Melnychuk was associated with the incident, which took place on the sidelines of Parliament. The leader of the “will of the people” Yaroslav Moskalenko then apologized to Lyashko for the incident.
As for Alexander Onishchenko, he is involved in high-profile criminal case. He is suspected of committing in January 2013 – January 2016 of crimes under part 4 article 28 (Commission of crime by group of persons, group of persons by prior conspiracy, an organized group or a criminal organization), part 5 article 191 (assignment, waste of property or taking to them by abuse of official position), part 1 of Art. 255 (creating criminal organization), part 4 of article 28, part 2 of article 205 (fictitious entrepreneurship) of the Criminal code.
According to the Director of NABU Artem Sytnik, as a result of the activities of companies close to the Deputy Onishchenko, the implementation of SD agreements with “Ukrgasdobycha” the state suffered total losses of about $ 3 billion.
