On the night of 4 June, the horticultural farm near the village of Redkino (Tver region), a 45-year-old electrician (according to other sources, constant work, the man had not) from Moscow companions shot from a carbine “saiga”: 9 people were killed, one girl managed to survive (she hid under the blanket and a drunken murderer, apparently, about her just forgot). The tragedy took place after a dinner with a former paratrooper started to brag about fighting skills, and someone threw in his face the phrase “you are served”. Offended, Sergei Egorov (the killer’s name has become known to the media) left, and on return opened fire, saying before this:
Now I will show you how I can shoot.
This information was confirmed by investigators himself Egorov, who already began to give the first indications:
I killed them all because they began to say that I did not serve in the airborne. I told them that I served, and they laughed
Apparently, he was shooting really accurately: 8 out of 9 victims shot in the head, the number of cartridges is almost equal to the number of wounds on the bodies of people. The events describe as: the feast was outdoors, in the garden; Egorov first shot of those who were there, on the street, then went back to the house, where they killed a married couple and an old lady of 92 years of age (the grandmother of one of participants of a feast); one man managed to run outside, but by far he did not run away. The shooter acted simply and effectively – beat butt in the head and shot at close range. The body of one of the victims Egorov was put in the trunk of a car, the other corpses had tried to move into the house.
The only one who managed to survive the massacre (it was she who called the police), is clearly in a state of shock when he tells about the incident:

In the Tver police revealed details of the detention of the suspect in the murder of nine people. According to the head of the press service of Ministry of internal Affairs across the Tver region Vadim Levshin, the message about the tragedy in gardening came in Konakovo police about three o’clock in the morning. The place immediately was directed investigative team and the officer.
Local police arrived at the gardening first, assessed the situation and called to the aid of a friend of the police: the two and detained 45-year-old suspect over the body of one of the victims.
Police officers first conducted surveillance of the house and then held a detention. The man in that moment postponed hunting rifle to the side and dragged the body out of the garden into the house, so the resistance did not, – said Vadim Levshin. It is unknown what would have happened if he had a carbine in his hands.
As for the identity of the killer (or, more suspect, although it does not appear that there can be any doubt of the guilt Egorova), earlier in the criminal liability it was not involved, the psychiatrist was not involved. Penalties are received only for violation of traffic rules, and the weapon which he shot belonged to him and was in accordance with the law. Victims Egorov was not very familiar, but owns a plot in the same orchard and were invited into the company as an employee. As reported in “Komsomolskaya Pravda”, during the interrogation, Egorov later confirmed that in fact did NOT serve in the airborne.
What can I say? In the US mass killings often occur on the background of taking anti-depressants, we have – against the background of alcoholic libations. I think, for the Russian people alcohol is also a remedy for depression. In both cases, apparently, something switches off in my head, removed some barriers and normal like people are going to kill.
