The United States would like to avoid armed confrontation with the regime of North Korean leader Kim Jong-UN, but Washington’s patience is not unlimited, said the American UN Ambassador, Nikki Haley.

All negotiations to curtail North Korea’s nuclear programme came to a standstill, she stated.
“The actions of Kim Jong-UN cannot be seen as defensive. He wants to obtain recognition of the DPRK as a nuclear power. However, this status does not mean the right to intimidate others. Nuclear-weapon States are aware of their responsibility. Kim Jong-UN shows that he does not understand this responsibility. He abuses the testing of missiles and threats of use of nuclear weapons and thus asking for war,” said Haley.
According to her, the security Council must take adequate measures against North Korea, “before it’s too late.”
“War is not what I wanted to the United States. But the patience of our countries is not limitless,” – said the Ambassador.
