It seems that he has studied far and wide, but every day, nature never ceases to present new surprises. A new species of large arachnids discovered in the caves of Mexico!
This story starts back in 2013, when during an expedition in the mountains of Sierra de las Cacachilas two researchers representing the natural History Museum, San Diego, went down in one of the caves and found the dried up remains of a large and, apparently, hitherto not known to science of a spider.
Michael wall and Jim Berrian (Michael Wall and Jim Berrian) deep into caves and mines in search of living individuals and in the end found them.
Wall describes the discovery:
This is the type spider, met with which many people fled in terror… Usually new species are quite small and inconspicuous, so that people don’t pay attention to them, so to find specimens of this size was a surprise.
The researchers found two dozen spiders the size of which is comparable with the size of tarantulas. Eight individuals managed to catch, and now this new is officially included in the catalogue under the name Califorctenus cacachilensis.
Entomologist and an expert on arachnids Maria Jimenez (Maria Jimenez) in turn confirmed that these spiders are a lot like deadly Brazilian spiders. At the same time Jim Berrian claims that the poison Califorctenus cacachilensis for a person critical of any hazard. As you know, Jim learned this from his own experience when he was bitten by one of the spiders.
