Dean Devlin made a name for himself primarily as a writer. On his account, for example, “Universal soldier,” “Godzilla” and “independence Day.” But as the Director of special services for him are not observed. Teamed with series Director Danny cannon (“Gotham”, “Alcatraz”), Devlin took the disaster film “Geostorm” (Geostorm). This fall the world is waiting for the next End of the world.
After an unprecedented series of natural disasters that struck our planet, world leaders have joined forces to create an extensive network of orbiting satellites to control the climate to prevent natural disasters. But something went wrong — the system built to protect the Land, now threatened her. Race against time, where time is needed to detect a real threat before the world Geostorm will erase from the face of the Earth all living things… all living at the same time.
In the starring Gerard Butler (“law Abiding citizen”, “300”), together with him to save the planet from Armageddon will be Jim Sturgess (“Twenty-one”), Andy Garcia (“ocean’s 11 friends”), Abbie Cornish (“limitless”, “Robocop”) and EDD Harris (“the Rock”).
What to expect from this film – is not entirely clear. The first trailer was quite serious and hinted at a typical movie about global catastrophes. Nothing new, but spectacular. The second roller is mounted so that the creators specifically warn viewers: Hey guys, not worth so much to frown, we’ve got jokes with rhymes delivered! It seems to be the Apocalypse, and pulls in place. I must say, quite a strange sensation. Plus, as part of the spectacle is clearly not a breakthrough, the effects are tolerable, but we have seen much better.
What happens in the end – will know closer to the end of the year. The world premiere of “Geostorm” will be held on October 18, Russia – a day later.
