The artist reacted to the plans to deprive Ukraine of “Eurovision”.
Eurovision has long lost its true value and today is more like a circus. Therefore, sanctions and depriving Ukraine of the right to participate in future singing contests will not be a great loss.
This opinion has been shared by people’s artist of Ukraine, singer Ivo Bobul.
“First, this contest does not appeal to me completely. Going to go away… I’m very calm. Because your competition “Eurovision” for 15 years as does not comply, maybe more. It’s not even a show but some sort of deformity only. The circus on stage,” commented Bobul possible sanctions.
“What I can tell you if the country goes to war. It is a feast during the plague. I have a son that needs to grow in a peaceful country, and it’s important to me. There are some vital criteria. I understand that you want to see contests, win, but I’d like to see it, when the country would the world and people were smiling,” – said the artist.
We will remind, on Thursday, 4 may, representatives of the European broadcasting Union, who are the organizers of “Eurovision-2017”, stated that can penalize Russia and Ukraine for the breach of the so-called Statute of the international song contest. In this regard, countries may be obliged to pay compensation or even to exclude from participation in “Eurovision” for the next three years.
