The head of the information policy of the TV channel was denied entry for five years.
Representatives of the state border service reported on the deportation from Ukraine of the Russian propagandist, the actual head of news service of TV channel “inter” Igor Shuvalov at the airport “Borispol”, where he flew to Russia via Belarus.
On this edition of “media Detector” said the Director of the Department of communication, Ministry of internal Affairs of Ukraine Artem Shevchenko.
“Employees of the State border service of Ukraine reported (about the ban on entry to Ukraine. – Ed.) this citizen of Russia, when he’s at the airport “Borispol” was preparing to fly to Russia through Minsk that one of the state authorities decided to ban him from entering the territory of Ukraine for the period of five years. Put in his Russian passport a stamp and said, “good-bye! Don’t go!” – said Shevchenko.
He recalled that the first decision on expulsion of Igor Shuvalov was taken at the end of March 2014.
“With a clear motivation for anti-state activities. But then the decision was not fulfilled. Maybe we can correlate with the information policy of the channel “inter”, where he was a member of the Supervisory Board and is directly in charge of information broadcasting. Perhaps he was needed there, and the owners of this Pro-Russian media have found some arguments to those who must deal with national security and sovereignty”, – said the Director of the Department of communication of the Ministry of interior.
Recall, the Shuvalov criticized the decision of the Ukrainian authorities, saying that the situation around him connected with the “inter-species struggle of the Ukrainian politicians.”
