Apple is preparing for the opening of the new headquarters Apple Park, the construction of which is conducted during the last 4 years.
The campus, which was conceived by company founder Steve jobs as the center for creative solutions and collaboration, will cover an area of 260 000 sq. m.
Apple Park is located in Central valley, Santa Clara, California near the present office of the manufacturer of the iPhone. Over the past month, the builders managed to get closer to the final stage, at the main building were the final touches on site and installed lighting. Simultaneously with the completion of construction work is underway on the landscaping. The entire campus is visible trees are planted. Much remains to be done, but the builders intend to finish the landscaping before the opening of the headquarters.
An ambitious plan for creation of new headquarters jobs announced in June 2011, four months before his death. In 2013 started the construction of the campus. Project architecture Apple Park was developed in cooperation with the design office Foster + Partners. Its main attraction is the four-story ring-shaped building, made of curved glass, concrete and steel.
Also on site will be located café, fitness center, underground Parking, various laboratories, closed areas for research and development, corporate audience of a thousand people, named after the founder of the “Theatre of a name of Steve jobs”.
Grand opening of the Apple Park will take place in the near future. At the same time on the move all 12,000 employees will take more than six months. The presentation of the iPhone 8, is expected to be held in the “Theatre of a name of Steve jobs”.
