Ukrainian developer has created the most fabulous architectural project in a competition of Fairy Tales-2017.
Ukrainian Mikhail Ponomarenko won the international architectural competition Fairy Tales-2017.
The work is called “Last Day”. Illustration Michael added a story about interplanetary travel a couple of Saturn.
Based on its work, Michael took his picture where she is standing at a phone booth, and in the background the mountain with the ring.
I drew in the summer, when we went to Peru. Then I took pictures and based on pictures drew this illustration. Just for the contest have five drawings. Others are very slowly developed, and the story gradually grew to the one that had entered the competition.
At first I didn’t know that grief is a hole, and around it is wrapped the city. First, draw a landscape and then think “that would shove here interesting?” First invented the hole in it. Then I thought it would do, and after a series of excruciating sketches suddenly came the thought: “What if the building wrap along the surface?”
This is suggested and a description of how the story was invented antigravity engines. So pieces together the whole story – said Ponomarenko.
Contest Fairy Tales — four years. His idea is to present a fantastic and utopian stories-tales with an emphasis on their architectural aspects.
In the international competition of Fairy Tales involving architects, illustrators, writers and designers who create stories about fictional architectural projects.
Such “tales” usually describe fictional worlds that will not be able to implement the engineers.
The theme of the contest in 2017, have become an “environmental fable”. Fairy Tales-2017 received the stories and illustrations about 1,200 participants from 60 countries. A jury of more than 20 leading architects, designers and writers has named the winner of Kharkiv Mikhail Ponomarenko.
Ponomarenko now lives in Florida and works in the American landscape architecture firm EDSA.
