Us Vice President urged to comply with the Minsk-2 and promised to support Europe.
US calls on Russia to comply with the agreement on ceasefire in the Donbass and promised to find new ways to “common framework” with Moscow. This was stated by us Vice-President Mike Pence.
“President trump believes that such paths can be found,” – said Vice-President of the United States.
At the meeting with President of the European Council Donald Tusk Pence emphasized that in Ukraine the United States will continue to consider Russia a “responsible” and to demand respect for the Minsk agreements.
“We urge both parties to respect the cease-fire, which should begin today, and in the interests of peace and innocent lives we hope and pray that this ceasefire will be maintained,” said Pence.
He also noted that trump is determined to cooperate with the European Union to achieve a common goal of promoting peace and prosperity through freedom, democracy and the rule of law.
“We should firmly stand in defense of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of States in Europe. While Russia’s attempts to redraw international borders by force, we will support Poland and the Baltic countries, reinforcing our presence with the help of NATO,” – said Vice-President.
