Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada told what topics were discussed with the special representative of the US state Department.
Kiev is waiting for Washington’s decision on the representation to Ukraine defensive lethal weapons. This was stated by the speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Andrei Parubiy at the meeting with special representative of US Department of state Kurt Volker.
“We believe that sanctions should be expanded and strengthened. And of course, Mr. Walker, we are waiting for the decision on granting Ukraine lethal defensive weapons,” – said Parubiy during the meeting.
Walker Friday on a visit to Kiev. According to the representative of Kiev in the humanitarian sub-group on Donbass Irina Gerashchenko, is scheduled to meet Volcker with President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko.
Earlier it was reported that Kurt Volker before the meeting with Poroshenko will communicate with Paruby.
