“20 September 2017 the crews of long-range bombers Tu-22M3 made routine flights over the neutral waters of the Baltic and Norwegian seas. Training flights of the crews of distant aircraft was performed in accordance with the action plan of combat training during the summer training period in 2017,” – said in the defense Ministry.
The Russian military has indicated that while flying over the Baltic sea to the Russian air flew F-16 fighter jets of the Belgian air force, F-18 Finnish air force, F-15 US air force and the JAS-39 Swedish air force and 70 minutes accompanied.
