Real estate portfolio of the company more than 5 thousand objects area of 1.2 million sqm
Public joint stock company “Ukrposhta” by 2020 plans to increase the income from rental property 9 times – up to UAH 100 million.
This was announced by Director of real estate management and infrastructure of “Ukrposhta” Dmitry Sennichenko.
According to the presentation materials presented during a briefing for 2016 “Ukrposhta” has received 11 million UAH from the rental of real estate, in 2017 it is planned to obtain UAH 20 million, in 2019 – 100 million UAH. “Revenue growth from ten to twenty million this year, following growth of from eighty to one hundred million UAH – it is our calculations,” said Sennichenko.
He noted that the real estate portfolio “Ukrposhta” more than 5 thousand objects with an area of 1.2 million square meters, nearly 220 thousand square meters not used in the production process of the company. “We have developed a strategy for the use of the property. Determined that we will need in the medium term, and allocated the objects that are not involved in operating activities and decided to lease them,” said Sennichenko.
Director of real estate management and infrastructure of “Ukrposhta” reported that to pass the real estate will be through the electronic marketplace Prozorro.Sale. “We will try to lease them through Prozorro.Sale. We studied the different mechanisms for the lease of our facilities and came to the conclusion that it is more understandable, logical, competitive option for the transfer of objects than Prozorro, no,” he said.
According to him, earlier, before the corporatization of “Ukrposhta”, the income from the rental of real property were distributed through the state property Fund. 70 percent of the income received by the state property Fund and 30 percent “Ukrposhta”. “After corporatisation, this allowed us to obtain rental income in full, but the responsibility is now completely on us. Now we are responsible for paying property taxes, for the transfer of the housing stock in local authorities”, – said Sennichenko. He added that “Ukrposhta” has already started to conclude contracts with the regional Funds of state property to redirect cash flow to the company.
Also Sennichenko said that today was the first lot in the Prozorro.Sale – restaurant with summer terrace, conference hall “Zelena Bucha”.
As reported, Ukrpochta in January-June of 2017 received 359.8 million UAH against a net loss of UAH 18.8 million profit a year earlier. In 2016, “Ukrposhta” has received 188 million UAH against a net loss of 53 million UAH of net profit a year earlier. Net income of the company in 2016 has increased by 15% and amounted to UAH 4.5 bn.
March 1, the Ukrainian state enterprise of postal communication “Ukrposhta” has completed the process of reorganization and was transformed into a joint stock company on the model of European postal companies, Deutsche Post, Austria Post, or PostNL.
“Ukrposhta” enters into the management of the Ministry of infrastructure of Ukraine and is the national operator of postal communication in the country. The company provides more than 50 types of services through more than 11 thousand of branches throughout Ukraine. The company employs about 76 thousand employees. “Ukrposhta” annually carries out the processing and delivery to consumers of more than 240 million postal items, 16 million parcels and shipments with declared value, 15 million transfers, and delivers more than 83 million in pensions.
