Taras Gapac voluntarily left a place of service in late March.
“The people’s militia LNR” may 11, posted online a recording in which a man in military uniform who introduced himself as a serviceman of Armed forces of Ukraine Taras Gapac, says that voluntarily surrendered due to poor conditions of service in the army.
The ATO headquarters on Friday confirmed that the man in the video is Sergeant in the military service under the contract Taras Gapac.
“According to preliminary information it was determined that he voluntarily left a place of service in late March of this year. On this fact conducted an internal investigation and sent a message to the military Prosecutor and in the Military service of law and order. After a careful examination of the incident, which occurred at the end of March, and taking into account all the circumstances of the soldier was stripped of his military rank “Sergeant” according to the Disciplinary Charter of Armed forces of Ukraine”, – stated in the headquarters of the ATO.
The investigation file was forwarded to the military Prosecutor’s office for adoption of the legal decision on article 430 of the criminal code (voluntary surrender).
