Ukraine increased its electricity exports

Украина нарастила экспорт электроэнергииThe supply of electricity in the direction of Hungary, Slovakia and Romania increased by 13.6%.

Ukraine in January-August 2017 increased export of electricity by 45.1% (1.2 GWh) in comparison with the similar period of 2016 – up to 2 GWh.

This was announced by the Ministry of energy and coal industry.

The supply of electricity with energoostrova Burshtyn TPP towards Hungary, Slovakia and Romania increased by 13.6% (to 261,6 million kWh) – up to 2.2 GWh.

The supply of electricity in Poland increased by 4.7% (32.4 million kWh) – up to 719,7 million kWh.

The supply of electricity to Moldova amounted to 885,3 million kWh, up from 3.7 million kWh in the first eight months of last year.

In Belarus and Russia in January-August of the past and current years, the Ukrainian electricity was exported.

In August 2017 the Ukrainian electricity exports amounted to 266 million kWh, which is 78.6% of (117.1 million kWh) more than in August 2016. This is due to renewal April 2017 commercial exports to Moldova.

In addition, Ukraine in January-August 2017 imported 35.3 mln kWh of electric power (from RF – 34,6 million kWh, Belarus – 0.7 million kWh) vs 55,4 million kWh in the first eight months of 2016. Import in January-July-2017 were considered for contracts in the Energy market as technological displacement.
