In Ukraine intend to reconstruct 200 km of the route Odessa-Nikolaev-Kherson.
State road Agency of Ukraine signed a Memorandum of cooperation with the Chinese company CRBC (China Road and Bridge Corporation) for the project of reconstruction of the road M-14 / E-58 Odessa – Nikolaev – Kherson. This reports the press service of Ukravtodor.
Highway reconstruction project provides for its expansion to four lanes and creating a detour around Nikolaev. The total length of the road will be about 200 km.
“The reconstructed road M-14 / E-58 will connect the major ports of Ukraine – Odessa, Nikolaev, Kherson, which accounted for up to 80% of all goods in the country. According to preliminary calculations, the construction of this road can stimulate the growth of Ukraine’s GDP by 1.5-2%,” – said Slawomir Nowak, head of Ukravtodor:
According to him, the reconstruction of the road will reduce the travel time from Nikolaev to Kherson to 30 minutes, and from Odessa to Nikolaev to 1 hour 10 minutes.
The Memorandum of cooperation provides for the preparation of a feasibility study and create design solutions for the reconstruction of the road M-14 / E-58. After completion of this phase, possible signing of the agreement on the loan for this project, one of the state banks of China and contracted to perform the works of world’s leading companies specializing in the construction of roads.
