600-HP version of the crossover C-HR – R-Tuned was faster than McLaren and Porsche.
On tuning show SEMA DG-Spec in conjunction with the brand, Toyota introduced a 600-horsepower version of the crossover C-HR – R-Tuned. On a four-kilometer circuit Willow Springs International Raceway in California, the novelty was faster than the McLaren 650S Spyder, the Porsche 911 GT3 RS and Nissan GT-R Nismo.
Instead of the standard two-liter engine tuners have installed a 2.4-liter with forged pistons and rods, intake valves stainless steel exhaust valves from Inconel and racing springs. The motor is equipped with a Garrett turbocharger with a boost pressure of 1.6 bar. Box — five-speed “mechanics”.
Crossover C-HR R-Tuned has also received a custom suspension, adjustable sway bars, limited-slip differential on the front axle, Brembo brakes with racing calipers, aerodynamic body kit and hood from carbon fiber.
Aerodynamic body kit components generate up to 136 kilograms of downforce. Overload from braking can reach up to 1.2 g, the magnitude of lateral acceleration during cornering to 1.7 g.
