The conversation of the presidents was held on the initiative of the Russian side.
The US President Donald trump and the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin held a telephone conversation, during which failed to achieve a significant breakthrough on key issues.
The conversation took place at the initiative of Putin, a source in the American administration claims that during the conversation the two leaders there is no “breakthrough” took place:
“The phone conversation lasted about 30 minutes and was held at the initiative of Putin. The official said that the administration trump not sure how seriously Moscow is committed to resolving the Syrian conflict”, – quotes the edition of Interpress.
Trump and Putin also discussed the localization of the threat posed by the nuclear programme of North Korea.
On may 2, a telephone conversation between leaders of the two countries, during which they discussed the fight against terrorism in the middle East and missile tests of the DPRK. White house officials described the talks as “constructive”.
