The citizen of Russia who lives in Israel and three times voted for amendments to the Constitution, is facing criminal prosecution. As reported “Interfax”, said the Secretary of the Central electoral Commission of Maya Grishin.
He noted that “our distinguished citizen chose to misuse law.” Criminal liability for such violations “is precisely the insurance that it didn’t happen”. Article 142.2 of the criminal code provides for the illegal issuance and receipt of the ballot by a fine of up to 300,000 rubles or imprisonment for up to three years.
Earlier, the woman voted for amendments to the Constitution of the Russian Embassy in tel Aviv, the Consulate in Haifa,as well as electronically.
Voting on amendments to the Constitution of the Russian Federation began on June 25. Primary election day — July 1.
