The United States imposed sanctions against the so-called “Central Bank” of the terrorist group “DNR”.
This was announced by the Office of foreign assets control of the U.S. Treasury.
In addition, in connection with aggression of Russia in Ukraine, the US imposed sanctions against 19 people, among them Russians and officials annexed Crimea, and against 39 companies.
In the list of 19 individuals, against whom the US imposed sanctions, was Alexander Babakov, Deputy Chairman of Committee of Federation Council on international Affairs.
Babakov belongs to Ukrainian group of companies VS Energy, and the Premier Palace hotel in Kiev and Yalta hotel Oreanda. He is the majority shareholder of a number of Ukrainian energy companies, including Kyivoblenergo.
Under the sanctions was also Andrey Melnikov, head of the so-called “Ministry of economic development,” the Kremlin-controlled government annexed Crimea.
Also in the list of sectoral sanctions, OFAC hit the banks registered in the Russian Federation and annexed the Crimea, and numerous “daughter” of Russian transport monopoly Transneft. As you know, the Transneft, together with the companies Gazprom, LUKOIL, Gazprom Neft and Surgutneftegas sector is under sanctions from 2015.
