In the U.S. Congress introduced the law on the budget for 2017.
In the U.S. Congress presents the consolidated law on budget allocations for 2017 requiring a program of assistance to Ukraine is planned to allocate not less than $560 million.
This is stated in the message of Embassy of Ukraine in USA.
“In particular, military aid and security policy Ukraine until the end of the fiscal year, the United States (until 1 October) is scheduled not less than 238 million dollars. USA. Excluding loan guarantees, which are not considered so far (last year in the budget laid for this purpose of $ 275 million. USA), appropriations for other programs of assistance are planned to increase (27 million dollars. USA, compared to 2016).It should be noted that the allocated funds for strengthening the defense and security of Ukraine are only part of the total amount of $ 350 million. The United States, which can be fully used after October 1, 2017”, – said the Embassy.
The next stage of the entry into force of the consolidated law will be its adoption by the Senate and House of representatives, which must be held before may 5, 2017, and further signed by the President of the United States.
