The surplus of the state budget in January increased by 6 times.
The state budget of Ukraine in January 2017 reduced surplus 15,754 billion UAH, which is 6 times higher than the surplus in January last year at 2,452 billion UAH.

It is also reported that the surplus of local budgets in January totaled 9,263 billion UAH. Earlier, the state Treasury reported that the state budget in January received 59,444 billion UAH of income, 38.7% higher than the planned target for this period at the level 42,861 billion UAH, and 2 times higher than the figure for January 2016. Subsequently, the head of state Treasury Tatiana slyuzov explained that the state budget surplus in January for the revenues due to delay in reimbursement of VAT, inflation and minimum wage increase.
As reported, the budget deficit in 2016 amounted 70,130 billion UAH, which is 1.6 times higher than the deficit for the previous year at the level 45,167 billion UAH, but below the established limit level 83,694 billion UAH. Given estimates of nominal GDP of Ukraine for the year 2016, released by the National Bank of Ukraine at the level of UAH 2,358 trillion annual budget deficit was 3% of GDP. The state budget of Ukraine for 2017 assumes revenues of $ 731 billion UAH, expenses – 800 billion UAH, the maximum level of the deficit – 77.5 billion UAH, which is 3% of GDP.
