The ball did not impress football fans.
Moscow hosted presentation of the official ball FIFA world Cup 2018 – Telstar 18, which is a reference to the original ball Telstar which was used in the 1960-ies and 70-ies.
In 1962 into orbit brought the first active communications satellite Telstar – thanks to him on television there was the first international color broadcast. In honor of this satellite called the ball world Cup 1970 held in Mexico.
The design of the original “Telstar” was inspired by the appearance of the satellite. It was even called a “TV Star”: the combination of black and white contrast panels (12 to 20) is very well looked in black-and-white TVs.
According to the authors of the New Telstar 18 not just reinvents the first ball for Adidas in world series history, but also continues a new glitch tradition (pixelation) in sports fashion.
The fans did not appreciate this retro-wave, noting that to complete the immersion in the “scoop” is not enough “birthmark on the head of Putin.”
