Radical statements were made by the representatives of the American people.
North Korea should halt any actions that could “lead to the end of the regime” and to stop its pursuit of nuclear weapons.
This was stated by the Minister of defence of the USA James Mattis.
“North Korea must abandon isolation, to terminate its pursuit of nuclear weapons and stop acts that lead to the end of its regime and the destruction of the people,” he said.
The Pentagon chief also urged the DPRK “to take into account only the voice of the UN security Council and statements by governments worldwide.”
“The actions of the DPRK regime, as before, will have much to lose our opportunities and they lose any arms race or conflict, which is initiated”, he said.
As reported, members of the UN Security Council adopted Saturday a resolution calling for additional sanctions against the DPRK. The security Council six times has applied sanctions, which have failed to stop North Korea’s quest to develop and create nuclear weapons.
The initiator of introduction of new sanctions against the DPRK were the United States in response to two recent launches by Pyongyang’s Intercontinental ballistic missiles.
