Irina Gerashchenko said that the number of hostages held in the occupied territories has reached 127 people.
First Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada, Ukraine’s representative to the Humanities subgroup of the Trilateral contact group Iryna Geraschenko at the meeting with the Director General of the Department of external policy Ministry of foreign Affairs of Portugal, Francisco Antonio Duarte Lopesan announced a number of hostages held in the occupied territories. She wrote about this in Facebook.
“Told Portuguese colleague about our efforts to secure the release of hostages in occupied territories is already 127. Called to increase pressure on Russia on the issue of release of political prisoners, to continue and strengthen sanctions until the full implementation of the Minsk agreement and de-occupation of the Crimea”, − said Gerashchenko.
She noted that the key topics of the meeting was the security and humanitarian situation in the Donbass, as well as the work of the Minsk group.
We will remind, in early April, Gerashchenko said that at uncontrolled territories of Kiev Donbass held illegally 121 people.
