The Ministry of justice called the criminal case on Soviet political figures in the restoration of historical justice.
Justice Minister Pavel Petrenko said that the criminal case against the Soviet leaders Joseph Stalin and Lavrenty Beria need to restore historical justice.
Yesterday it was reported that the Crimean Prosecutor’s office has prepared the suspicion of Stalin and Beria. They are accused of the deportation of Crimean Tatars and other nationalities from the Peninsula.
“This is a restoration of historical justice. Ukrainian legislation allows for the criminal proceedings even in those who have died, in order to rehabilitate the victims, to establish legally significant facts, and we are talking about massive crimes,” – said Petrenko in Kiev to journalists.
