Andrey Bogdan believes that Russia should directly negotiate peace in the Donbass, but before that, take a poll among Ukrainians.
The head of the presidential Administration Andriy Bogdan was in favour of talks with Russia to end the conflict in the Donbas. He reported about it on air of TV channel 1+1.
“I don’t know (how to restore the Donbass — ed), but we have to talk, if you want peace. You know very well to throw on the Board is not my life. There’s our dying Ukrainians”, — said Bohdan.
The head of the Administration noted that it did not consider the self-proclaimed “Republic” is an independent entity and declared the necessity of negotiations with Russia. The politician said that he considered it necessary to conduct a survey among the population on this issue.
“I do not see anything bad in carrying out certain surveys before the adoption by the Verkhovna Rada or in person one President of a decision. You might be smart, but you don’t know how it will react to certain people. Representation of public opinion will help to avoid such a split of Ukraine into two parts,” added Bogdan.
In his opinion, anti-Ukrainian positions, in particular the rejection of the annexed Crimea will be invalid in the negotiations with Russia.
“I think it’s the hard way, but they need to go,” he insists.
