The number of victims can increase.
At least 16 people became victims of a collapse of a mountain of garbage in the dustbin of Sri Lanka’s capital Colombo. The list of victims including four children, reported the Indian media.
On Friday, April 14, the mountain of garbage with a height of over 90 meters collapsed after the rains and fire. It destroyed about 40 homes. The place of the accident are continuing search and rescue work as people still can be under blockages.
Earlier, local residents asked the local authorities to dismantle a huge dump, which every day added hundreds of tons of waste.
