Recently, the media has passed the message that the Director of “pulp fiction”, it turns out, have an idea for a film in the Star Trek universe. Many thought it was fantastic, because Quentin Tarantino is always rented exclusively their own, independent of the picture — with criminals, cowboys, Nazis and Yakuza. No space operas. However, long known that the Director is a fan on the original TV series “Star trek” and have already suggested to the filmmakers to redo one of the old episodes with a more serious budget.
Well, J. J. Abrams, standing currently at the helm of the franchise, it seems, is not going to lose the opportunity to work with Tarantino. The latter interested him primarily as a Director, and to get the author’s “inglorious bastards” on the Board, Abrams is ready for anything. Including bloody an R rating!
If you believe Deadline, the Studio Paramount Pictures agreed to the terms of Tarantino, and he has already met with several writers that can join his team. Candidacies of Mark L. Smith (“Survivor”), Lindsay bir (“March of chaos”), drew Pearce (“Mission: impossible rogue nation”) and Megan Amram (“Silicon valley”). As they say, a favorite is Smith, but that’s not accurate.
So, it looks like the most unconventional and brutal film from the series “star trek”. And as for the sheet, here it is necessary once again to pay tribute to the pioneers — “Dadula”, “Logan” and “Mad max” — proved that modern blockbuster movies with the R rating can be commercially successful and deserve the right to exist.
