If Onishchenko does not appear in a Spanish court, it can start to look for across Europe.
Spain started the procedure of extradition of wanted in Ukraine by people’s Deputy Oleksandr Onishchenko.
A Spanish court ordered Onishchenko each month to appear in court, which is considering his case.
This decision was announced, the Prosecutor SAP during the proceedings Onishchenko in the Solomensky court on 1 December.
In Spain, the court has applied to the Ukrainian MP, the measure of restraint in the form of conditional release.
At the trial lawyers Onishchenko tried to challenge the legality of the letter of the General Prosecutor’s office, sent in December 2016, in which Ukraine asks Spain for extradition.
The Prosecutor of the Specialized anti-corruption Prosecutor’s office explained that now, if Onishchenko does not appear in a Spanish court, it will be the basis to declare him wanted, in all the countries of Europe.
We will remind, in may, the Interpol refused to Ukraine in the search including Onishchenko (also from search was removed – fled to Russia ex-President Viktor Yanukovych and his son Alexander Yanukovych, ex-Minister Eduard Stavitsky).
MP Onishchenko suspected of organizing the schemes of theft of funds in the extraction and sale of natural gas within the contract on joint activity with Ukrgazvydobuvannya state company, which the state suffered damage amounting to about three billion hryvnia.
Onishchenko had to leave Ukraine before the Verkhovna Rada of July 5, 2016 stripped him of parliamentary immunity and consented to his prosecution.
In November, the mayor of the German village Herzlake Hans Becken said that Onishchenko filed documents, required for obtaining German citizenship. However, the MP claims that plans to get Germany work visa, not citizenship.
