42-year-old singer Shura is one of the brightest and most successful stars of the 90s- in a candid interview with Sobesednik.ru talked about the hard struggle with cancer, which the artist discovered in 2004.

“At a time when I had this terrible trouble, my life was too much of a temptation. Then I was on the stage of star one and used a lot of “bad” substances. I realized that I have to get tested, — said Shura. — The doctor examined me from top to bottom and sent to an oncologist”.

Shura admitted that he was ready to give up, but I pulled myself together and started treatment: “I immediately had surgery to remove the testicle and prescribed a course of chemotherapy, as many as 18 sessions. All this treatment lasted a year and a half and doctors no guarantees are given. Then came the rehabilitation period, and it took me four years.”

Also Shura openly talked about the causes of cancer: “the drugs that completely killed my immune system, my schedule. I didn’t eat normal food due to the large amount of money constantly did drugs and went to parties where everyone is smiling at you and you slowly die. All have cancer cells, but they are enabled only when the immunity is low”.
Now the star of the ‘ 90s trying to maintain a healthy lifestyle — proper nutrition, and most importantly — sleep “for at least 10 hours.”
Recall the recent Shura came on the show “You’re super!” on NTV to support one of the finalists in a semifinal competition of the international children’s vocal competition — 17-year-old Christina Ashmarina.
