Russia to replace Ukrainian An-124 “Elephants”
Russia plans to replace the Ukrainian plane An-124 Ruslan heavy freighter of its production under the name Elephant.
Central Aerohydrodynamic Institute named after Zhukovsky was presented at the MAKS project of heavy transport aircraft an Elephant.
Specifications of the new device, published July 22 in the informal blog bmpd, published under the auspices of the Center for analysis of strategies and technologies.
The elephant will be able to carry 150 tons of cargo at a distance of more than seven thousand kilometers. The speed at which you will be able to develop the new aircraft, will exceed 850 kilometers per hour.
