President of Ukraine met with deputies of the Parliament of great Britain during an official visit.
The President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko during an official visit to the UK met with the leader of the ruling Conservative party David Lidington, the head of the “friendship group” for relations with Ukraine in the British Parliament by sir Gerald Howerton and head of the Parliament Committee for foreign Affairs Crispin Blunt. About it reports a press-service of the head of state.
According to the report, the sides highly appreciated the active nature of the inter-parliamentary dialogue between Ukraine and great Britain, in particular contacts between bilateral parliamentary “friendship groups”.
Poroshenko praised the visit of Russian delegation of the Committee of the house of Commons of the UK Parliament and resulted from this trip, recommendations about the need to continue the sanctions regime against Russia.
During the meeting both sides discussed issues of Ukrainian-British cooperation with NATO and implementation of the program of structural reforms in Ukraine.
Special attention was paid to strengthening interpersonal contacts between the two States and learning English.
Poroshenko urged to liberalize visa regime for Ukrainians.
