The President signed a law On electronic trust services.
The President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko has signed the law of Ukraine On electronic trust services.
This was reported by the press service of the head of state.
“The document is aimed at reforming the national regulatory framework in the field of digital signatures through the implementation of European Union legislation, the development of a unified space of trust on the basis of the system of electronic trust services,” according to the website of the President.
As reported, the law on electronic trust services (reg. No. 4685), the Verkhovna Rada adopted on second reading and in General on 5 October 2017.
The law improves the legislation in the field of public key infrastructure and the provision of electronic trust services. The adoption of the law will allow to develop a unified system of electronic trust services, mutual recognition of the Ukrainian and foreign public key certificates, electronic signatures and seals.
The document defines the legal and organizational basis for the provision of electronic trust services, including cross-border as well as the rights and duties of subjects of legal relations in the sphere of electronic trust services, the exercise of state supervision (control) over observance of requirements of the legislation and liability for its violation in this area.
Complex electronic trust services include the administration tools business: electronic identification (BankID, MobilD), electronic signature, electronic seal, the mark time, the recommended e-mail service, fake control of electronic resources, interoperability and the like.
Law No. 155-VIII shall enter into force one year from the date of its publication, except for article 10, which shall enter into force from the date of publication.
After the law came into force new conditions will be created that will allow to provide electronic administrative services and services in healthcare, Finance, etc.
