The corresponding decree of the President of Ukraine No. 103/2017 of April 8, 2017 published Saturday on the website of the Ukrainian President.

“To ensure the implementation of the priority tasks of cooperation of Ukraine with North Atlantic Treaty organization in the implementation of the decisions taken during the meeting of the Commission Ukraine – NATO at the level of heads of States and governments (July 9, 2016, Warsaw, Poland), and in accordance with paragraphs 1, 3 and 17 of article 106 of the Constitution of Ukraine I decree: to approve the annual national programme under the auspices of the Commission Ukraine – NATO for 2017”, – the document says.

Also Poroshenko has received the State Committee for television and radio broadcasting of Ukraine, ministries and other Central Executive bodies to provide public awareness about the progress and results of its implementation.

The annual national programme and the main activities to be carried out in the framework, are included.

This decree shall enter into force on the date of its publication.

In particular, the annual national programme under the auspices of the Commission Ukraine – NATO to 2017 provides political and diplomatic measures to ensure the cessation of Russian aggression against Ukraine by peaceful means and to restore the territorial integrity of Ukraine, namely the preservation of international consensus to support Ukraine, continued sanctions pressure on the Russian Federation to the cessation of armed aggression and the de-occupation of Crimea and Donbas.

In this context, it is planned to continue work in the framework of “Normandy”, “Minsk” and other formats with the goal of full restoration of the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine.

“Special attention is paid to the task of ensuring further support of the international community the non-recognition policy of annexation of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the need to strengthen international monitoring of the situation in the sphere of protection of human rights in the occupied Peninsula,” – said in the program.

“A tool for achieving this goal is the preservation of existing and introduction of new special economic and other restrictive measures (sanctions) in the Russian Federation”, – said in the program.

Provided also “to intensify dialogue with partner States to ensure effective implementation of the Minsk agreements, in particular with regard to the conduct of elections after the full implementation of security conditions, the withdrawal of troops of the Russian Federation and military technology, disarmament of illegal armed formations, establishment of permanent control of SMM OSCE on temporarily uncontrolled section of the Ukrainian-Russian state border, full compliance with the electoral standards of the OSCE and the legislation of Ukraine during the election process, the full observation, Office for democratic institutions and human rights OSCE over elections”

In the framework of the reform of the intelligence bodies of Ukraine provides for the strengthening of their “interaction with the consumers of intelligence, and special intelligence services of foreign States, especially member States of NATO to build new relations based on mutual trust”;

There is also the development of the military-industrial complex with the aim of equipping the Armed forces of Ukraine, other military formations with highly efficient weapons and military equipment corresponding to the NATO standards, a gradual transition to the production of components and spare parts for arms and military equipment subject to the standards of NATO in the context of import substitution measures and planned replacement of samples of arms and military equipment of the former USSR on modern, in particular produced in the framework of international cooperation.
