The law on the Donbass need to legally protect our soldiers, said Irina Lutsenko.
The President’s representative in the Verkhovna Rada Iryna Lutsenko explained the main objective of the presidential bill No. 7163. According to the Deputy, after the adoption of the law will make it impossible for the harassment and intimidation of Ukrainian soldiers, provide them with additional legal protection.
About the same time, Irina Lutsenko said in an interview.
The bill “On peculiarities of state policy on ensuring state sovereignty of Ukraine on the temporarily occupied territories in the Donetsk and Lugansk regions” was submitted by the President as urgent. On 6 October, the draft was adopted as a basis.
“If, God forbid, Russia will want to take advantage of the Hague Tribunal and intimidate our military, as was done in Georgia, approved this document and adopted a definition that the troops should be, because we Samooborona”, — explained the representative of the President.
Also Lutsenko reminded that the law after the adoption allows to the us lethal weapons and ensure the deployment of UN peacekeepers in the Donbas.
